Overview:

The Mother’s Morning Out (MMO) ministry at Faith Presbyterian Church strives to be a fun, engaging, and Christ-centered environment for all kids to grow and mature spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. We are currently in our 26th year of loving children and their families in our community!

We have seven classrooms, ranging in age from newborns to 5 year olds (Pre-K). Each classroom has two teachers that work cohesively to provide a loving and faith-based environment for learning and play. Structured daily activities include story time, table activities, crafts, free-play and outdoor play. Our older classes rotate through centers to enrich their learning and to focus on age-appropriate academic and social skills.

Each week, classes attend chapel to hear a brief Bible story/lesson and to pray, growing seeds of faith in our precious children. We also have a bi-weekly art class for the 6 oldest classes, led by Ms. Erin. Children love the hands-on art lessons, creating their own beautiful masterpieces. We have also added in music time once a month with a Faith member, Dr. Katie Anthony.

Partnerships:

MMO also has lots of fun partnerships with members of our local community. We partner with the Oconee County Fire Department during Fire Safety week in October. We also have a visit from the Tooth Fairy during Dental Week in February, and Dr. Katie Anthony visits each class, as well, to teach them about dental hygiene. UGA Professor, Ranger Nick, visits us in the springtime for Earth Day and he is an engaging environmental educator! He brings exciting little critters for our MMO kids to observe!
